The original Belgian mosaic tile floor was handlaid in 1908 when this old world establishment opened, and the tarnished murals of Italian scenes have seen better days, but the overstuffed portions of Italian favorites served here draw in an oftentimes young, hip crowd--especially bands and others from the music industry. Start with the grilled bruschetta with garlic, goat cheese and sundried tomatoes and a huge dish of calamari enough for four. Seasonal pastas, veal and chicken are mighty big too, so plan to share or spend a lot of time at the gym the next day.
If you try out John`s, you`ll find a restaurant that dishes up an Italian cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $12 to $20, and dress casual.
