IOTA is a bar and restaurant with possibly the best live folk/rock music shows in all of DC. The restaurant has just been expanded; the old bar is cozy; and the bartenders are friendly. The menu is not typical of a regular bar, with gourmet burgers and sandwiches and veggie chips. They also serve mango chicken quesadillas and pasta dishes. Local musician Kevin Johnson plays some Monday nights and introduces lesser known bands from across the country. The $2-5 cover is a bargain.
