The joint is jumpin` every night at Shaw`s. There`s the Blue Crab Lounge where after work you rub shoulders with business types while slurping down a dozen oysters and a pint of dark ale. Live jazz Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Lounge adds to the mayhem. Or, choose the calmer restaurant, Shaw`s Crab House, with its black-tie clad waiters, and rich red leather booths. Fish is the order of the day in this 40`s-style, more martini than beer `New England Seafood House` Fish. The crab cakes are legendary, and the fish cooked simply, traditionally, and well.
Shaw`s Crab House is a fine dining restaurant that serves an American fare an emphasis on seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $20 to $30, and go dressed on the formal side. Tie preferred, but optional.
