With Home and Po on the same block, this darling newcomer has some stiff competition, but so far it`s holding its own just fine. The tiny room is filled with friendly chatter and the strains of Louis Armstrong. There`s something very French in the air (and also smoke), with a feel of secret romance. The menu sports such typical Gallic items as country pate with cognac, coquilles St. Jacques, lamb stew, and grilled tuna Provencal with herbed tomato-garlic-lemon sauce.
This fine dining bistro serves a country French fare. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $20 to $30, and dress casual.
Atmosphere: The restaurant has an authentic décor. In general, the lighting is set quite dim. The restaurant is very small with seating for 28 people, and has a romantic atmosphere and typically attracts an ethnic crowd.
More Reasons to Go: Le Gigot is appropriate (if not ideal) for anniversaries and other romantic evenings.
Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner. There`s a weekend brunch for $12.50 per person.
Details to Note: Reservations are required.
Ways to Pay: Cash and American Express
