Disapointing experience!!!!!On Saturday January 29th, I ate at your restaurant and I have to say that it was a disapointing experience.
I'm from Canada, and was going on a business trip to San Francisco. We made reservations in advance to Postrio for 7:45, as we had heard great things about the restaurant, and were very excited to try it.
When I go to a restaurant of this class, I expect to be able to relax and enjoy the experience. Well, it was anything BUT relaxing. We were rushed by the waiter the whole time we were there. By 9:00 we were out of there!!! Now to me, that is rushed!
We ordered the special of the day, which was salmon. When the plate arrived, the salmon was half cooked. We returned it, and much to our surprise, it had be thrown back on the grill and then thrown back on the plate. I'd never seen that in my life! I would expect this at Pizza Hut but not at an upscale restaurant like this. We also ordered the scallop and roasted pork main course. The pork had so much fat, that after removing it all, there was only a bite left to eat!!
After the main course, we ordered a glass of port and a cappuccino, but asked the waiter not to rush, as we wanted to enjoy the rest of our wine. Not 5 minutes later, he arrived with the port and the coffee!! Dropped it on the table, along with the bill and just left!
The whole experience surely was not worth the 250$US it cost us.
Needless to say that we will not recomment this restaurant to anyone, if anything, we will recommend not to go. I think the restaurant is relying too much on its famous chef, and needs some major overhaul with regards to its customer service.
