I just graduated from the University of Chicago and continue to live in Hyde Park. I have been to the Med many times and love their pan pizzas. While the service isn't overwhelming, compared to most of my experiences (at pricey restaurants like Morton's or well-rated ones like Platiyo), it is fine. No long waits for food even when its packed or you have a large party, and the price is reasonable for students. Don't expect anything fancy, just good burgers and pizza. The balcony in the spring is particularly nice and while I don't like the graffiti, the brick, art, and lighting make the Med a cozy little neighborhood spot.
