Three of my good friends and I went to Frankie's last night for old times sake. I hadn't been there in a while, and always loved it when I ate there in the past. However... last night the chef undercooked my clams oreganato and I had to send it back for addition time under the broiler. My friend, Carol's order of Oysters Rockerfeller was swathed in a slimey dressing without benefit of being baked...so it was slimey oyster in a dressing of slimey sauce...she sent it back. The waiter was inattentive and we had to keep asking the busboy to get him. He charged us $8.00 a piece for 2 glasses of house wine which were advertised in the menu as $5.00 a glass. And he failed to remove the gloppy dish of Oysters Rockerfeller from the bill as well.
About an hour after arriving home, Allison...one of our other dining partners called and told me she was about to be very sick after eating the fried Calamari.
I liked the Shrimps Fra Diavalo and my the ceasar salads were good. Deborah said she enjoyed her spaghetti and meatballs.
All in all...I would rate this restaurant as a C-.
