Good to know - I was planning on taking my 83 year old Mom there for the first time. I'll spend my hard earned money elsewhere.- Is follow up to post by beth_on_bass ...
It's true that this is where Grandma took her grandma; but the current manager doesn't care much about grandma. I dined there last wk. with my 80-something parents who have been coming there 60 years, requested a quiet corner table, and just before the food arrived, the adjoining table for 4 was chgd to an 8-top, and a group of 8 very drunk people sat down, loudly taking over the whole room, one continually bumping my dad (who is blind). I moved our table as close as possible to the wall. The waiter turned his attention solely to them. We could no longer carry on a conversation. The manager basically told me too bad, when I politely complained, saying "it's not our fault if patrons are rude" - but our meal was close to $50 - we should have been moved, or if not, some sign of caring should have been made. They are living on the previous reputation; it was clear it didn't matter if we came back. -- 6/11/2009 1:12:53 PM
