The bountiful light from the windows that fill the southern wall of the Clark Street Bistro makes the white tablecloths glow. The waiters there all seem to be tall, slender, and dark-haired, just like the Moroccan chef, Joel Kazouini, and his brother, Halim Kazouini, who manages the place. The menu, presented on one large laminated sheet -- just the way it often is in France -- also offers real bistro essentials, such as steak au pommes frites and pizza margherita.
