This is the original "Peasant," and, for Atlanta, very old (est. 1974). It still retains its late-hippie ambiance (store-front building, chalkboard menus, smart and witty servers) and offers food in a style that wanders from Provencal to Southern Comfort. (Note: the "Peasants" were recently purchased, along with all the Mick`s Restaurants, by a group who plans on refurbishing. Stay tuned to see if it`s an improvement.)
Serving an American cuisine, this is a place. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $20 to $30, and go dressed casual.
Atmosphere: Structurally, the restaurant utilizes a good deal of glass and windows. The place has an early 1900`s style décor. The lighting is set quite dim. Classic brick completes the restaurants overall style. The place is small with seating for 65 people, and has a reminiscent atmosphere and frequented by professionals and couples.
