Bordering a quiet neighborhood off to the side of Santa Monica Boulevard is La Cachette. Chef/Owner Jean Francois Meteigner`s heavenly haute cuisine is served up in a fanciful dining room accented with elegant white-washed wood paneled walls, tapestry floral print upholstered seating, and large sprays of fresh flowers. Lunch fare includes saffron risotto with Maine lobster and grilled swordfish with soy wasabe mustard sauce. Dinner suggestions included roasted rack of lamb painted with garlic dijon mustard with garlic potatoes and fresh mint natural jus and country duck confit and two sausages cassoulet crusted with bread crumbs and herbs.
