There is something perfect about Le Bouchon, from it`s intimate yellow dining room with its crisp white tablecloths, to its 10 dollar steak frites. Executive chef Jean Claude Poilevey mingles throughout this Bucktown brasserie most evenings keeping an eye on every detail, and greeting his patrons with a French accent that makes everything taste better. A great find in Chicago, it maintains an impressive wine cellar, and delivers simple, classic french fare. The pate is lovely as are the escargot. And, the salmon with a beurre blanc sauce, and nothing else, is a lesson to us all.
If you go to Le Bouchon, you`ll find a bistro that serves a French cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $12 to $20, and dress casual.
