Just about everything on this Italian-inspired menu has garlic in it, in one form or another. The sprawling restaurant has four dining areas and a kitschy atmosphere throughout. The food can be hit or miss, but that doesn`t stop the crowds from coming early. The 40-clove garlic chicken with garlic mashed potatoes is a winner, as is the thick-cut pork chop. If you`re feeling really daring, try starting with the 100 garlic cloves marinated in warm olive oil.
This place dishes up Italian and Californian cooking. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and you`ll be appropriate if dressed casual.
Atmosphere: The place has four dining rooms with seating for 250 people. Table talk is no problem here - noise level is unobtrusive.
